Opening its doors back in 1989, Atakule featuring modern architecture, tower observation deck and panoramic city view, shortly became known not only as Ankara’s first shopping mall but as an iconic landmark of the capital.
With Atakule GYO joining the Tarman Grup in 2009, it underwent the reconstruction process and, on October 29, 2018, was re-introduced to the public based on the belief that Atakule was not merely a shopping mall but a cultural heritage, too.
Atakule, which was reconstructed carefully considering Ankara and its visitors’ needs, from social life to art, from shopping to food and beverage, was honored with the Sign of the City 2017 award.
Embracing the best of Turkey and of the world, Atakule continues to add value to the capital’s gastro and art culture with its unique architecture and the vibrant vibe it adds to the capital.
